Join our team as a Contracts Manager, where you\'ll play a key role in managing commercial contracts, supporting proposal activities, and negotiating agreements that drive business success.
Working closely with internal teams and external customers, you\'ll build strong relationships while ensuring contracts are effectively managed throughout their lifecycle.
For internal applicants, this position is a JFF L5.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare internal approvals, contracts and other agreements
- Support and lead as required the provision of customer proposals and contract amendments
- Execute all commercial aspects of the contract
- Monitor and report the progress of key contract obligations, including contract deliverables and cash
- Proactively resolve contract issues and provide contract advice to internal functions
- Contribute to the identification and resolution of contract risks and opportunities and business improvement/transformation initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external Customers that enable effective working
- As required manage a team of contract management specialists and cross-functional teams members
- Act as the principal point of contact for all routine contractual matters
- What you\'ll bring
- Competent in understanding and interpreting contracts with a good working knowledge of all contract terms
- A good understanding of the costing and pricing processes and mechanisms and be able to formulate prices for proposals within a delegated authority
- Good verbal and written communication skills appropriate for the role, with clear capability to construct and communicate information concisely and effectively.
Be confident in presenting to peers, internally and externally.
- A working knowledge of typical business tools including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and SAP
- Capable of developing, recommending and implementing solutions to role related problems
- Capable of managing and prioritising the work of you and your team in a hybrid working environment
- Capable of identifying and implementing business improvement/transformation initiatives including cross functional activities
- Educated to degree standard in an appropriate subject with demonstrable commercial aptitude based on previous experience or a person with demonstrable proficient commercial aptitude based on previous experience of not less than 5 years in a business environment
