Overview
Fresh Food, Happy Dogs.
We believe dogs deserve the healthiest, most natural and tastiest meals – with none of the nasties.
That’s why we make FRESHly prepared food, cooked just like you would at home and delivered direct to our customers in perfect portions.
As a B-Corp certified company, you’re joining a sustainable business that genuinely cares about our people, our products and our impact on the planet.
Our goal is simple: to help dogs live healthier, happier, and longer lives, while leaving humans smiling after every interaction.
We’ve come a long way since our co-founders (Kev & Dave) hand delivered the very first Butternut Box.
Today, we feed hundreds of thousands of hungry dogs across the UK and Europe – but we won’t stop until we’re feeding dogs everywhere.
To get there, we need a team of brilliant people who share that ambition to come and work for us.
A bit about the role.
We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to act as our boots on the ground hiring anchor for our UK manufacturing and fulfilment sites (Rudies Kitchen and Aces Pantry).
This is a high impact, Individual Contributor (IC) role – perfect for a recruiter who loves being embedded in the business, can navigate everything from corporate office roles to high-volume frontline ops, and can confidently business partner with our Senior Leadership Team.
You'll be the face of TA on-site in the UK, working alongside another UK based TA Partner, where you will play a crucial role in managing critical stakeholder relationships, and driving our recruitment strategy forward.
This role balances high touch stakeholder management, hands on recruiting across all levels, and operational execution - with a strong focus on keeping senior UK hiring in house, utilising data, and leveraging AI to streamline how we work.
This role is based 5 days a week on site at Rudies Kitchen & Ace's pantry in Blyth, Worksop.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary, trusted talent partner to the UK Operations Senior Leadership Team across Rudies and Aces.
- Sit with UK directors and heads of departments to take briefings, challenge specs, manage expectations, and provide data backed market insights.
- Own and execute end to end recruitment for all senior, corporate, and office based roles in the UK, entirely eliminating our reliance on external recruitment agencies.
- Roll up your sleeves and support on high-volume, frontline, or blue-collar operational hiring during peak periods or site growth.
- Deliver an exceptional, consistent candidate experience from initial outreach to onboarding.
- Act as a sounding board for the UK based Ops TA Partner sitting alongside you.
- Help guide daily priorities on site, unblock local hiring challenges, and share best practices to help upskill the local team.
- Use local market data to inform hiring decisions, manage stakeholder expectations around salary/pipelines, and highlight hiring risks.
- Track and maintain clean hiring metrics (time-to-hire, pipeline health, quality-of-hire) to feedback to leadership.
- Constantly look for ways to streamline the UK interview and assessment processes to keep us agile.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks within the UK recruitment workflow.
- Active adoption of AI tools to improve sourcing speed, screen candidates efficiently, and optimise outreach.
Qualifications
- Proven track record as a Talent Acquisition Partner, ideally within manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or fast-paced operational environments.
- A true hybrid recruiter who is just as comfortable headhunting a senior head of department as they are mapping out a high volume frontline campaign.
- Confident, articulate, and mature enough to partner with, advise, and challenge senior directors and site leadership.
- Thrives on being physically on-site and embedded next door to the business at Rudies and Aces (Blyth, Worksop).
- Data literate and genuinely excited about using modern recruitment tools, AI, and automation to work smarter, not harder.
- Proactive, resilient, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a growing business.
Benefits
- Holiday: 257.5 hours per year (equivalent to 33 days) with an extra day for each year of service (up to 5 days).
- 39 hours of pre-booked paw days to support wellbeing and self care (equivalent to 5 days).
- Annual budget for personal learning and development (£500).
- Discounted Private Medical Insurance with AXA Healthcare and Vitality Healthcare.
- Enhanced parental leave.
- Discounted gym membership and other wellbeing perks.
- Subsidised food from street food vans and pay day pizza.
- Employee discount on Butternut Box for your furry friend.
