Overview: Retail Marketing Operations Placement Year Intern – location Weybridge. Sony Europe invites penultimate-year university students to join the 2026 Sony Placement Year Intern cohort in the Retail Marketing Operations team.
Role summary: provide operational and administrative support to ensure smooth, high-quality retail and online activity across European markets. This includes coordinating campaigns, product launches and market execution, managing materials, timelines, approvals, market requests and follow-up actions, and ensuring information is accurate and delivered on time. The placement aims to improve execution across markets and enable the wider team to focus on strategic priorities and commercial opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Retail & Online Execution Coordination: support coordination and optimisation of retail and online retail execution activities across European markets; assist creation, distribution and coordination of retail and product-related materials across markets and stakeholders; track market implementation status and follow up on execution timelines and quality; assist maintenance of execution tracking documents, status updates and operational follow-up activities.
- Operational & Administrative Support: support internal administrative processes related to retail and marketing activities, including documentation, approvals, and invoice-related processes; oversee product sample management and related operational logistics.
- Market & Stakeholder Coordination: coordinate with multiple European markets and internal stakeholders to support smooth project execution; facilitate clear, timely communication regarding deliverables, timelines, and implementation status; coordinate local market requests, including distribution of materials and translation requests.
- Product Launch Support: provide operational and logistical support for product launches; prepare and organize materials required for new product launches; support through physical support, creation of presentation materials, assets & samples logistics management for events and PR activities; support the wider team during peak launch periods with various marketing-related activities.
Qualifications:
- Penultimate-year university student studying Business Management, Marketing or a related relevant degree.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong administrative and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple operational tasks accurately, consistently and within agreed timelines.
- Proactive and reliable with strong follow-up and a track record of keeping activities on track.
- Confident working with multiple stakeholders and markets in a fast-moving, multinational environment.
- Clear and effective communicator with a positive, collaborative working style.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
