Technical and Payments Business Analyst Wellingborough (hybrid 2-3 days per week onsite) Influence payment modernisation, digital banking and core platform transformation in a business where you'll have genuine ownership and visibility.

Joining our core product delivery team, you'll play a key role in delivering change across payments, core banking and digital banking platforms.

From ISO 20022 and payment scheme changes to system integrations and regulatory initiatives, you'll help turn complex requirements into practical solutions that make a real difference to the business and our clients.

Based in our Wellingborough head office, you'll have the flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Working with stakeholders to understand, analyse and document business and technical requirements
  • Producing user stories, process maps, functional specifications and data mappings
  • Supporting payment, technology and regulatory change projects
  • Assessing the impact of change across systems, processes and integrations
  • Working closely with developers, architects, testers and third-party suppliers
  • Supporting testing, implementation and transition into live service
  • Helping improve how we deliver change across the Bank

You’ll be joining at a time of significant investment in payments and technology which will give you the opportunity to influence major initiatives including payment modernisation, ISO 20022 compliance, system integrations and future banking technology enhancements.

The work spans core banking, digital banking, payments and asset finance, giving you exposure to a far broader range of systems and projects than many larger organisations can offer.

  • Experience delivering technology-led change as a Business Analyst within banking or financial services
  • Strong technical analysis and requirements gathering skills
  • Experience with systems integrations and data mapping
  • Experience delivering payments-related change, with a good understanding of payment flows and processing.

Understanding of ISO 20022 and payment schemes such as SEPA, SWIFT, CHAPS or Faster Payments

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • It would be good for you to have Experience with core banking or digital banking platforms
  • Experience supporting payment modernisation or regulatory change programmes
  • Exposure to API-led integrations, cloud technologies or modern banking platforms
  • A relevant professional qualification such as BCS, Agile or PRINCE2
