Greencore Warrington is seeking a Hygiene Coordinator on night shift reporting to the Hygiene Zone Manager (HZM) to support the Hygiene Department on the factory floor.

  • What you'll be doing
  • Role of Hygiene Co-ordinator to supervise, monitor and review the Hygiene Team's performance to safely deliver finished standards meeting food safety requirements and company standards for hygiene.
  • Collaborate with HZM to determine and assign duties to hygiene staff at the start of each shift and ensure sign-offs are completed accurately and handed over at the end of the shift.
  • Monitor and ensure hygiene staff adhere to working time directive and shift times.
  • Support HZM to ensure all hygiene members have the necessary skills and resources to complete their role.
  • Identify and deliver required training for Hygiene Operatives and help develop training programs for new starters.
  • Conduct hygiene audits at the end of the shift in collaboration with HZM.
  • Ensure hygiene standards are maintained during production runs and change-overs in collaboration with HZM.
  • Take on a Hygiene Zone Manager's role in the absence of the HZM.
  • Monitor the performance of hygiene operatives during cleaning operations and continuously improve.
  • Manage training records for all Hygiene operatives, ensuring full training on relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a training needs matrix for the hygiene department.
  • Provide training across all factory areas, including on-the-job and effective presentation-style training.
  • Review procedures and new equipment to ensure procedures are captured, written, and trained.
  • Coordinate the hygiene team using the master schedule to establish training requirements across shifts.
  • Own the Site NH audit schedule, complete audits to schedule, and address any NCNs including retraining where necessary.
  • Be flexible to work across all shifts and cover absences of other shift team leaders.

  • Hygiene experience within a food manufacturing environment or similar.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience in managing or supervising a team.
  • H&S/safe systems of work awareness.
  • Knowledge of COSHH.
  • PC literate; numerate and literate.
  • Can-do approach with a positive attitude.
  • Flexible attitude towards work patterns and hours.
