Overview
Our Security Team is looking for Uniformed Security Officers to join their diverse and experienced team.
The Uniformed Security Officers are responsible for preventing and detecting offences against staff, visitors and contractors and will safeguard the company's property, merchandise, monies and assets.
This is a fixed-term contract until 10 April 2027.
Responsibilities
- Actively patrol the store to deter and detect offences and protect staff, customers and contractors.
- Liaise with employees, the public and police on day-to-day security matters; cooperate with other investigative agencies when required; conduct inquiries on behalf of the company.
- Stay up to date with legislation and regulatory changes that may affect security duties.
- Collaborate with a team of Uniformed Security Officers to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer service and the ability to build strong team relationships.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with proficiency in conflict management and resolution techniques.
- Mental resilience to occupational hazards, including handling abusive or threatening behaviour and dealing with confrontation and pressures.
- High standard of personal appearance and a level of health and fitness enabling full performance of duties, including standing or patrolling for long periods.
- Possession of an SIA Door Supervisor licence or the ability to obtain one if offered the position.
- Schedule & Contract
The role operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern and may include work at other Company premises.
Shifts may include weekends, nights, Bank Holidays or Public Holidays; additional hours or days may be required with notice (typically 48 hours).
