We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor to join our team in Telford. This is a full-time, hybrid role, working 35 hours per week (2-3 days in office per week).
Responsibilities
- HR Service Delivery
- Deliver a customer-focused, high quality HR Advisory Service from start to finish, ensuring outcomes align with the employee value proposition and risks to the business are minimised.
- Coach and mentor HR Advisors on complex or sensitive employee relations; take the lead on cases that escalate beyond their scope and provide cover for the HR Advisory team at other locations as required.
- Influence and coach managers on complex/sensitive employee relations, whistleblowing, and employment tribunal cases from start to finish, identifying root causes and implementing solutions with guidance from the wider HR Team to ensure a safe, fair, and equitable business operation.
- Stakeholder Management
- Proactively build and maintain strong professional relationships with identified stakeholders to deliver seamless, first-class employee experience that drives performance.
- Support organisational design activities such as job evaluation and salary benchmarking, restructures, redundancies, acquisitions, and TUPE initiatives.
- Ensure performance conversations, promotions, reward and recognition, and talent and succession planning initiatives occur across the business.
- Support calibration and moderation processes to ensure consistency and fairness; coach managers to provide structured feedback during performance reviews.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to review engagement survey results, identify focus areas, and implement local action plans to address improvements.
- Support the adoption of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion & Wellbeing initiatives within Cabot Group, including signposting colleagues and managers.
Knowledge & Experience
- Extensive HR generalist experience providing independent advice and solutions through a commercial lens.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge, influence, and direct the business; adaptable to different styles and environments.
- Experience in developing and supporting organisational change programmes.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft-based applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- CIPD Level 5 qualified β working towards or equivalent experience.
- Ability to question, influence, and advise to help the business understand people impacts of decisions.
- Thrives in a complex work environment with a pragmatic approach and strong self-direction, initiative, prioritisation, and problem-solving.
