Specific Hours: 18.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. This position is based at the Roundhouse Campus on Pride Park. Derby College Group (DCG) is recruiting a Teacher of Beauty to join the Hair and Beauty team. The role is created due to growth within the department and offers the chance to join a successful and expanding team.

Responsibilities

  • You will support the success of the Hair and Beauty provision by delivering to students studying Level 2 Beauty courses.
  • You will be part of a dedicated teaching team, contributing to course delivery, assessment preparation, and monitoring student progress while maintaining high departmental standards.

About you

  • You are a passionate Beauty professional with up-to-date industry experience and relevant Level 2 and 3 Beauty qualifications, and an assessor qualification.
  • A qualified teacher, you communicate effectively and build strong relationships with students through excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You are highly organised with strong attention to detail, manage your time effectively, and are confident using IT systems to support delivery.
  • You bring enthusiasm for Further Education with a commitment to supporting student success and maintaining high standards in teaching and learning.

Benefits and salary

Salary of £29,374 to £44,218 per annum pro rata. The package includes 49 days holiday (inclusive of 8 bank holidays and 6 closure days where these occur) pro rata, membership of the Teacher’s Pension Scheme with a 28.68% employer contribution, and various staff discounts and benefits.
