About the role
As the Talent Acquisition Manager you will work closely with various business areas—including solutions engineering, product engineering, marketing, and sales—to understand hiring needs, shape job specifications, and support the full recruitment cycle.
You will report to the Head of Operations and collaborate with People Operations to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full recruitment cycle from liaising with line managers to a new starter's first day, including writing job descriptions, identifying and sourcing candidates, interviewing, providing feedback, and making offers.
- Coordinate with People Operations to create a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
- Utilize platforms such as Workable, Linked In, Glassdoor, and manage Appvia’s Careers page.
- Own, refine, and iterate hiring processes and recruitment documentation in accordance with relevant laws.
- Consider implementation of online recruitment and assessment tools, including employment‑related testing.
- Partner with the marketing team to promote Appvia’s employer brand at community‑building events, university campus hiring days, meetups, and the wider startup ecosystem.
- Measure key metrics and provide data‑driven insights to the leadership team.
- Run assessment centres when required.
- Minimise reliance on external recruitment agencies while developing relationships with key suppliers when necessary.
- Benchmark salaries/compensation packages against industry standards.
- Act as a strong brand ambassador.
Qualifications
- Experience managing hiring requirements with internal stakeholders in a similar industry or company stage.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems such as Workable.
- Experience in an in‑house or agency recruitment role.
- Full‑cycle recruitment experience.
- Strong ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent research and sourcing skills using a variety of methods.
- Track record of managing multiple roles simultaneously.
- Success in building talent pipelines for challenging, competitive roles.
