A tech-focused market-maker with groundbreaking success in the high frequency trading space is seeking a creative problem-solver to be their next Software Engineer in the Developer Excellence team. This is a critical, high-impact role, where your main focus is on developing tools, streamlining processes, enhancing automation and more, all aimed at boosting the productivity of developers within the firm.
This will include working closely with development teams to identify bottlenecks/challenges in the current development processes and designing innovative solutions to address them. You will also build and implement tools & automation strategies designed to streamline workflows, enhance code quality, and reduce time to deployment.
You’ll be expected to demonstrate a blend of technical expertise, a passion for efficiency, and an entrepreneurial mindset. In return, you’ll enjoy a relaxed culture working alongside some of the best professionals in the industry from over 40 countries.
Requirements- Strong engineering fundamentals, with a deep understanding of software development processes, and of the end-to-end development lifecycle
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining tools & systems that enhance developer workflows
- Proficiency in relevant automation technologies, e.g. Python, Jenkins, Git
- Solid programming skills in C#, C++, C and Python
- Proven ability to deliver scalable, reliable, high quality clean code
- Keen eye for identifying areas of improvement and championing changes to address them
- Enthusiastic to learn & apply new technologies and methodologies
