We are seeking an experienced Shift Team Leader (STL) to join our operations team at our EfW facility in Slough. The role involves leading and supervising the assigned operating shift to ensure continuous plant operation, maintaining compliance with UK HSE and environmental regulations and contractual obligations, acting as the senior site representative during nights, weekends, and holidays, overseeing both operations and maintenance coordination on shift, and driving safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance against production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise shift personnel to maintain safe and efficient plant operations
  • Ensure strict adherence to HSEQ standards, procedures, and safe systems of work
  • Maintain accurate shift logs, reports, and operational records
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure plant reliability and performance
  • Lead safety initiatives including briefings, audits, and continuous improvement actions

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
  • Proven experience in EfW, power generation, or similar industrial environment
  • Previous experience in a Shift Team Leader or supervisory position
  • Strong understanding of power plant systems and operations
  • Proven experience working within regulated HSE environments
