Overview

As a Supervisor within our warehouse, you will be responsible for leading and developing Warehouse Operatives and Trainee Supervisors, providing coaching, performance management, and support to achieve operational goals.

You will work closely with the Section Manager and the wider Warehouse Leadership team to deliver key performance metrics, ensure customer demand is met on time and in full, maintain high safety standards, manage labour planning, address performance gaps with clear action plans, and support culture change initiatives to improve engagement and reduce turnover.

Responsibilities

  • Direct line management and coaching of Warehouse Operatives / Trainee Supervisors, including 1:1s to discuss performance vs expectation, and identifying SMART goals when performance is not met in any key functional area within responsibility.
  • Collaborate with the Section Manager to monitor delivery to plan and identify areas for shift improvement.
  • Drive performance on key metrics to maintain an efficient warehouse operation that fulfils customer web and store demand on time and in full.
  • Uphold the highest safety standards on site, working with the Safety team to ensure adherence to safety routines and procedures (e. g., Floor Safety Inspections, Hazard Spotting, Safety Gembas, Risk Assessments, Audits).
  • Review weekly labour plan to ensure adequate coverage, sharing insights with the Section Manager and highlighting issues/feedback.
  • Provide detail when daily/weekly targets are not met and create plans to bridge gaps.
  • Partner with the Warehouse Leadership team and other key stakeholders to ensure strategic activity is on track and supported.
  • Support the successful implementation of culture change and turnover reduction initiatives.

  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
