Your Role:

We're looking for a patient-focused and clinically driven Homecare Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team based at Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield. As a Responsible Pharmacist, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, effective and compliant delivery of pharmacy services for homecare patients. You will provide professional leadership to the pharmacy team, oversee dispensing operations, support service development initiatives and contribute to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified pharmacist who enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment and wants to make a real difference to patients receiving treatment at home.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday - Onsite

Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW - located just off Junction 35A of the M1. We offer free car parking.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Act as the Responsible Pharmacist for the registered pharmacy premises, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance, support and professional leadership to pharmacy colleagues, ensuring high standards of patient care and service delivery.
  • Clinically check prescriptions, dispensed products and patient formulations, ensuring accuracy, safety and timely supply to patients.
  • Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients, nurses, healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders, resolving complex clinical queries where required.
  • Ensure adherence to General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards, pharmacy legislation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements.
  • Contribute to audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, CAPAs, complaints management and continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate in the pharmacy on-call rota to support homecare services outside normal working hours where required.

What you need to succeed:

  • MPharm Degree (or equivalent qualification in Pharmacy)
  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Post-registration pharmacist experience within a relevant clinical setting
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pharmacy governance and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
