Renishaw's Manufacturing Services Division has a vacancy for the position of Semi-skilled Manual Operator in the Machine Shop.

The purpose of the role is the kitting and de‑kitting of machining carousels to support Machine Shop production.

The successful candidate will be expected to work a 3 shift rotation (working hours will vary over three week's periods, with working hours as follows: 6am‑2pm, 2‑10pm and 10pm‑6am).

Responsibilities

  • Manual kitting of Ramtic carousels whilst adhering to the quality standard, within the set time.
  • Basic inspection of completed parts in accordance with quality documentation.
  • Maintain the high standards of housekeeping in the working area.
  • Key Requirements
  • The ability to demonstrate written and numeracy skills.
  • The ability to follow written and pictorial instructions accurately.
  • The ability to safely use a range of hand tools used during the kitting process.

Desirable Requirements

  • A knowledge of the Ramtic kitting process.
  • Basic PC skills are required, although full training will be given to successful applicant.

Person Specification

This role would ideally suit somebody who values the importance of attention to detail.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work unaided whilst forming part of a team.

A positive “can do” attitude would also be of benefit.

Good communication skills are essential for the role.
