Overview
Health Care Assistant – Ward at Oaklands Hospital. We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team.
Role details: working as part of a team alongside Nurses and Consultants to deliver high quality patient care.
The successful candidate will have genuine compassion and care for individuals and be keen to develop their skills.
Previous experience in care is required; full support and training will be provided.
Attention to detail is key, with the ability to stay calm and be practical in challenging situations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the nursing team in delivering patient care in the ward.
- Support patients with daily living activities and comfort needs in a respectful and compassionate manner.
- Follow care plans, document observations accurately, and communicate changes to the team.
- maintain a safe and clean environment, follow safety and infection control procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- NVQ level 2 or 3 in health care (or equivalent).
- Previous care experience is required.
- Able to work as part of a team and use initiative to work independently when needed.
- Excellent communication skills and a caring nature.
- Flexible, positive attitude and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
