We\'re looking for an enthusiastic Accounts & Group Systems Assistant to support our day-to-day financial operations and ensure our systems run smoothly across the business.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same - perfect for someone who enjoys both numbers and problem-solving and wants to grow their skills within a supportive team.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts & Finance Support
  • Process supplier invoices, credit notes and internal expenses with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies and maintain up-to-date ledger data.
  • Assist with management accounts, including account reconciliations and periodic reporting.
  • Support payment runs, prepare documentation and handle supplier queries.
  • Provide holiday cover for key finance tasks including banking duties, TT checks and cash receipts posting.
  • General Office & Administration
  • Contribute to improving office systems and processes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development.
  • Provide flexible support to ensure service continuity across the department.
  • Group Systems Support
  • Produce daily stock and sales reporting (VBA training provided).
  • Assist with automated reporting and provide backup during system issues.
  • Maintain stock book entries and support Reynolds downloads.
  • Manage system permissions and support weekly/monthly reporting tasks.
  • Work closely with the Group Systems Manager to build knowledge and provide full holiday cover.

Qualifications

  • Someone who is: Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident working with numbers and financial data
  • A great communicator across departments
  • Willing to learn new systems and develop technical reporting skills
  • Reliable, proactive and ready to support a busy finance function
  • Experience working in an accounts environment, including meeting month-end deadlines.
  • Strong systems capability, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing.
