We are currently looking for an experienced C9 Maintenance Team Leader at Huhtamaki in Preston, Victoria with experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You may be required to stay back or work on weekends to support the team as needed.

This role will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the activities of the maintenance team
  • Hold team briefings and communicate all operational and business activities and initiatives
  • Ensure all maintenance works are completed within allocated timeframes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance programs such as training, skills development and safety
  • Provide reasonable after-hours or weekend support for urgent maintenance issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance and checks as per work orders
  • Train and help develop documents to perform overhauls of site equipment (e. g., pumps, agitators, conveyors, mechanical filters, printers and label applicators)
  • Identify issues and guide the team to repair during breakdown maintenance
  • Assist with machine setup, adjustments and changeovers
  • Prepare the workshop for next PM, overhaul and changeover
  • Perform other reasonable duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager
  • Induct contractors when required
