We\'re currently looking for a Trade qualified Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter at Huhtamaki in Preston, Victoria with experience working in fast paced manufacturing environment.
You should be able to cover some after-hour shifts as and when required.
Responsibilities
- Preventive maintenance and checks as per the work orders
- Overhauls of various site equipment like pumps, agitators, conveyors, mechanical filters, printers and label applicators
- Breakdown maintenance - identify issues and repair as necessary
- Assist with machine setup, adjustments and changeover
- Preparation work in workshop for the next PM, overhaul and changeover
Qualifications
- Ideally: Successfully completed a Mechanical trade certificate III - Fitter and Turner/Machinist
- Strong troubleshooting and repairing skills
- Experience maintaining production line and processing equipment like pumps, conveyors, etc.
- Comfortable working in fast paced environment
- Basic TIG/MIG welding and machining experience required
- Reliable, hands-on and team oriented
