We\'re currently looking for a Trade qualified Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter at Huhtamaki in Preston, Victoria with experience working in fast paced manufacturing environment.

You should be able to cover some after-hour shifts as and when required.

Responsibilities

  • Preventive maintenance and checks as per the work orders
  • Overhauls of various site equipment like pumps, agitators, conveyors, mechanical filters, printers and label applicators
  • Breakdown maintenance - identify issues and repair as necessary
  • Assist with machine setup, adjustments and changeover
  • Preparation work in workshop for the next PM, overhaul and changeover

Qualifications

  • Ideally: Successfully completed a Mechanical trade certificate III - Fitter and Turner/Machinist
  • Strong troubleshooting and repairing skills
  • Experience maintaining production line and processing equipment like pumps, conveyors, etc.
  • Comfortable working in fast paced environment
  • Basic TIG/MIG welding and machining experience required
  • Reliable, hands-on and team oriented
