Overview
Our Hilsea site has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Administrator to join the team on a full-time 12-month fixed-term basis.
You will liaise with drivers and subcontractors to dispatch, track and monitor deliveries to ensure timely delivery to customer locations and provide accurate reporting in line with legal, compliance and company procedures.

Wednesday to Saturday nights, 18:30 – 06:30.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely dispatch of drivers at the front desk.
- Track all deliveries from the depot to customer locations.
- Issue, check and sign required driver paperwork upon leaving depot.
- Inform the transport team and customers of late or delayed deliveries using the relevant contact method (automated electronic, email and telephone).
- Debrief drivers upon return to depot.
- Complete accident, incident and near-miss reporting paperwork.
- Provide support to drivers for call-outs and breakdowns.
- Support drivers in completing the defect procedure.
- Build and maintain Automatic System Notifications (ASNs).
- Compile and send daily DOT reports and KPI dashboards to internal and external customers.
- Check and collate driver timesheets and download tachograph cards daily.
- Manage Proof of Delivery (POD).
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience within a similar transport management position in an FMCG environment is desirable.
- Basic knowledge and experience of tachographs, driving rules and regulations.
- Ability to effectively prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
- Professional and approachable character to ensure smooth operation.
- Customer service driven with strong negotiating skills and the ability to influence and steer.
- Good IT skills including MS Office with a high level of numeracy and a keen eye for detail.
