Inpatient Bookings Administrator – Plymouth Hospital | Administration | Permanent | Part time £25,038.00 per annum (pro-rata) | 30 hours per week

Our Inpatient Bookings Team at Plymouth Hospital has an opportunity for a new team member.

The role supports the team to maintain high standards during a period of growth and increased activity.

Responsibilities

  • Deal with all administration tasks for inpatient bookings, including booking theatre slots, arranging pre-assessment appointments, liaising with consultants, patients and various hospital departments, and processing patient details.
  • Handle telephone enquiries efficiently and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure all data and information are entered, maintained and presented accurately and efficiently.
  • Work to required standards and within agreed procedures, prioritising the workload as necessary.
  • Maintain good communication and interpersonal skills; work effectively as part of a team and, where required, independently.
  • To succeed as an Administrator you will
  • Have good IT and keyboard skills, with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Have experience in an administrative or customer-facing environment (desirable).
  • Be able to engage with a variety of people, including consultants, secretaries and patients, with confidence.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Remain calm under pressure and capable of multi-skilling.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills.
