We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Gifts and Stewardship Officer to support fundraising and donor engagement activities. This role combines gift administration, donor stewardship, fundraising communications and data management to help build lasting relationships with supporters. The position is set to commence ASAP and will be part-time 21 hours per week for an initial duration of 12 weeks with a pay rate of £18.13 per hour + holiday pay. This role has the potential to turn into a FTC based upon performance and department needs.
Key Duties
- Process donations and maintain accurate gift records, ensuring timely and accurate administration
- Coordinate donor stewardship activities, including thank-you communications and regular donor recognition programmes
- Develop and deliver stewardship plans to engage and re-engage donors
- Prepare fundraising reports and provide analysis of fundraising performance
- Support fundraising appeals and annual giving initiatives
- Prepare and distribute fundraising communications by email and post
- Assist in developing fundraising materials, donation forms and promotional resources
- Maintain online donation pages and website content to reflect current fundraising priorities
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to support gift processing and fund administration
- Build positive relationships with donors, alumni and internal stakeholders
Selection Criteria
- Experience in gift administration or fundraising support
- Strong IT skills, including spreadsheets and databases (DARS experience desirable)
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Gift Aid, regular giving and fundraising administration
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Confident relationship-builder with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
