Job title: Credit Analyst - Unsecured Lending
Salary: £29,460

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Join the Personal Current Account, Credit Risk team within the Chief Credit Office.
- Manage the existing overdraft portfolio and contribute to the development and optimisation of risk strategies for new and existing customers, including protection of vulnerable customers.
- Support Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland brands in handling a substantial personal current account portfolio.
- Develop effective lending decisions through analytical and technical skills to ensure timely and appropriate customer support.
- Develop as a motivated analyst within Risk, adapting to a fast-paced environment.
- Support a range of Personal Current Account credit risk management strategies including New Business Account Originations, Existing Customer Lending and Credit Limit Decreases.
- Analyse and interpret risk data, producing high-quality analyses using SAS Enterprise Guide and Excel as required.
- Organise and prepare risk strategy documents and summarise risk data for BAU monitoring and reporting.
- Analyse problems/incidents to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Deliver innovative solutions to improve processes and systems.
- Respond to individual and team objectives and invest in personal development and capability growth.
What we’re looking for
- Comfortable working with numbers, demonstrated by a degree/qualification in a numerate subject or a minimum of 2 years of quantitative experience.
- Analytical problem solver with the ability to draw insights from data to inform business decisions.
- Effective communicator able to build positive relationships and clearly communicate recommendations.
- Well organised with the ability to manage workload and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proactive in personal development and collaboration to improve team culture.
Preferred/additional experience
- Aptitude for learning programming languages (e.g., SQL, SAS, R, Python). Prior coding experience is not essential, but developing these skills to manipulate and analyse data will be a key part of the role.
