Overview
The role is based in The Royal Derby Hospital, where you will support hospitals nationwide by ensuring clean, well‑ventilated, and heated spaces that aid patient recovery. You will help cut energy use, reduce carbon emissions, and lower waste costs, drawing on global best practice from over 400 healthcare projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform PPMs, statutory compliance tasks and investigate/reactive works on low‑voltage electrical systems.
- Service, test, diagnose and repair process control systems and automatic control devices related to building services plant and equipment.
- Liaise and assist with other services to deliver work efficiently while meeting performance standards.
- Use test and monitoring equipment to maintain operational performance of engineering systems and aid fault diagnostics.
- Interrogate and adjust systems to maintain correct operation of plant and equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with an electrical bias (including recognised apprenticeship).
- Qualified electrician (18th edition).
- Excellent teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
- Working knowledge of other building services and trades.
- Experience in engineering services maintenance.
- Experience with complex electrical installations, including UPS and generators (desirable).
