  • What you'll be doing
  • Responsible for own set of Sales Ledger accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while supporting other members of the Credit Control team if/when required in times of absence.
  • Collection of debtors by telephone and written communication, handling of customer queries, liaising with internal departments and customers.
  • Negotiating settlement of overdue monies, and agreeing release of held orders.
  • Liaising with sales teams in providing commercially acceptable solutions when granting credit to our customers.
  • Deciding and controlling suitable credit limits.
  • Regular credit risk assessment and opening of new credit accounts.
  • Mitigate the Company's credit risk and take necessary escalation action as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and collections activities within the relevant systems and reports.
  • Conducting ad hoc tasks to achieve monthly collection targets given by Credit Supervisor or Credit Manager.

  • 2 years of Credit Control experience
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Being well organised and dependable will be important factors in being successful in this role.
  • A thorough disciplined and detailed style is vital with the ability to analyse logical and detailed data.
  • Good standard of education, GCSE English and Maths particularly A-C grade (or equivalent) is essential.
  • Compliance with clearly defined processes is required.
