About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Solutions Architect to work for our client within the Public Sector sector.

This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in such as Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool or Bristol.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver solution architectures that meet business and user needs while aligning with organisational standards, policies and strategic objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on technology choices, ensuring solutions are scalable, sustainable and cost effective
  • Develop and maintain solution design artefacts, architecture documentation, roadmaps and transition states for complex programmes and projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, business analysts and technical teams to ensure successful integration and implementation of solutions.
  • Support architecture governance processes, providing assurance that solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, standards and target operating models.

About You

  • Proven experience working as a Solutions Architect within large-scale transformation programmes and complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF, with practical experience applying them to solution design.
  • Extensive experience across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Azure and Power Platform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, Azure services, containerisation, microservices, serverless technologies and networking design patterns.
  • Experience designing ERP, CRM, CMS and enterprise integration solutions, with a strong understanding of API-first and service-led architecture approaches.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with Dev Ops principles, iterative delivery approaches and enterprise governance frameworks
