About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering function in Manchester. You'll be working in a team responsible for helping customers discover and switch financial products more easily. The team owns services that support millions of customer journeys each month and plays a key role in driving customer growth across MoneySuperMarket. Expect hands‑on involvement across the entire SDLC, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and maintenance, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.
You’ll be joining a highly collaborative engineering community that values quality, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. We invest in pairing, communities of practice, hack days and technical guilds to help engineers learn from one another and grow their careers.
We’re an AI‑enabled engineering organisation, and we’re actively exploring how AI can improve software delivery, from code generation and testing to documentation and architectural discovery.
What You'll Do
- Lead feature delivery and drive technical strategy within your team.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver new features to our users.
- Collaborate with product and design to create intuitive, responsive UIs and ship improvements end‑to‑end.
- Build and maintain modern single‑page applications with a strong focus on accessibility, performance, and quality.
- Write clean, maintainable code using technologies including Typescript, Javascript, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, AWS.
- Champion best practices: TDD, pairing, mob programming, and continuous delivery.
- Ensure security is baked in from the start.
- Debug, optimise, and maintain a high‑performing codebase.
- Stay ahead of engineering trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Mentor and support team growth, helping to raise the bar on frontend craft.

- Experience with automated testing (unit/integration/E2E/performance) and confidence practising TDD.
- Great code design habits and the ability to guide others with thoughtful feedback and coaching.
- A collaborative mindset: you enjoy pairing, mobbing, and shipping value quickly in an agile environment.
Nice to haves include:
- Playwright experience (or similar E2E tooling).
- AWS Amplify and Cognito exposure (or experience building/hosting web apps on AWS).
