Join us in transforming the way people shop and eat. The Global Safety and Security team protects our people, assets, and reputation by navigating global risks and implementing advanced security technologies and intelligence-led responses. This role leads the physical security technology program for Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), owning the strategy, budget, and delivery of infrastructure that protects our people and assets at scale. This position is hybrid and reports to the Europe, Middle East, and Africa team. You will lead the security technology program across EMEA, aligning with business growth, risk posture, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of project managers and technical specialists across EMEA, providing coaching, performance management, and career development.
  • Own the EMEA physical security technology roadmap, setting multi-year strategic priorities aligned to business growth, risk posture, and budget.
  • Drive portfolio-level delivery across all concurrent programs (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection), ensuring on-time, on-budget, and compliant execution.
  • Serve as the senior stakeholder interface, translating technical security needs into clear business cases for regional general managers, legal, data privacy, and finance partners.
  • Manage vendor strategy and partnerships, overseeing contract negotiation, partner selection, SLA governance, and performance management for key technology providers.
  • Ensure regional regulatory compliance across EMEA markets, maintaining adherence to BS EN 50133, ISO 27001, GDPR, and local security installation regulations.

Qualifications

  • Essential
    • Significant experience in people management, with a proven track record of leading, developing, and retaining project managers or technical teams across diverse geographies.
    • Strong understanding of physical security technology portfolios, with demonstrated experience owning regional or multi-country delivery outcomes and strategic direction.
    • Deep technical expertise across physical security systems (Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and Door Hardware), with the ability to guide technical decisions and hold vendors accountable.
    • Proven capability in budget ownership and program management, including managing multi-million-pound program budgets, capital planning, and utilizing portfolio-level tooling (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Asana).
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and communicate complex technical and financial trade-offs clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Nice to Have
    • Active PMP, PRINCE2, or APM certification.
    • Professional certifications in platforms such as Genetec, Axis, Software House, or OpenPath.
    • A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
