Mintel is looking for an enthusiastic and capable developer to join our established Digital Marketing team in the UK as a Software Engineer.
The successful candidate will join a team responsible for new feature development, stability, performance and technical enhancement for our Digital Marketing capabilities.

What You Will Do
- Join an established agile team that owns the e Commerce platform and other React or Word Press-based websites.
- Develop features for our corporate websites and our e Commerce platform that continually improve customer experience.
- Participate in planning activities with the Product Owner and other stakeholders.
- Demo software to stakeholders and discuss feedback.
- Participate in testing and other quality assurance activities.
- Manage the deployment of new features to beta and live environments.
- Influence the direction of your team through continuous improvement activities.
- Gain exposure to our full software stack, using primarily Open-Source software.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in Word Press development.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology platforms.
We expect that you have experience with the below and can efficiently analyze what is required when faced with an area that is outside of your comfort zone:
- Core programming languages: PHP, Java Script, experience with Python and/or React is a plus.
- Web technologies: Word Press/Woo Commerce (multisite/multi-language), Apache, GIT, Tailwind CSS, Python, React.
- Other technologies: Docker, Node JS, My SQL, Elastic Search, Linux (LAMP stack).
- Good to have: CI/CD, Unit Testing, Microsoft Dynamics.
- Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment and participate fully in agile software development processes.
- Aptitude for identifying and solving problems, both technical and organisational.
- Experience developing, testing, deploying and supporting websites and ecommerce applications.
- Motivated, communicative individuals who really care about engineering best practices.
- Desired a good level of focus on the user experience and conversion rates.
