Job Description

Business Unit

The primary goal is to service HNW/UHNW clients enhance their wealth through direct relationships as well as through intermediaries.

We are involved in a broad range of activities including Investments, Strategy and Planning/Structuring.

The foundations of the team are built on technical excellence and integrity to ensure that the client receives a holistic wealth management service.

The team pools its wealth of knowledge from the individuals within it who are experts in their field to ensure that the client receives a first class service in terms of investment advice.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the team with all aspects of client and adviser contact, including ongoing and regular reporting requirements and ad-hoc reporting requirements.
  • Acts as the liaison with the operational teams on the settlement of deals and keeps the team abreast of any irregularities.
  • Maintaining client lists and information including spreadsheets/databases, as well as supporting the Investment Manager and Partner with the preparation of book-wide trading.
  • Review and advise on corporate actions i. e. looking at open offers and rights issues. Instruct the Corporate Actions team accordingly.
  • Provide all analytics for the team, including performance, asset allocation reports and capital gains.
  • Ensures that all current and new client account data is complete, up-to-date and accurate at all times.
  • Responsible for the production of reports and presentations for existing and prospective clients including the collating and distribution of valuations and end of year packs.
  • Dealing with client and adviser correspondence and queries.
  • Monitoring portfolios in terms of content and performance for Investment Partners/Investment Managers.
  • Ensure all prospects are stored on the relevant database and all client correspondence on file.
  • Assisting the Investment Manager and Partner with investment research and assessment.
  • Attend client meetings with Investment Partners/Investment Managers where appropriate, with all review meetings and reports scheduled, produced to a high standard and delivered on time.
  • Attendance of seminars and functions as required.
  • Monitor external custodians for accuracy and timeliness of processing.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with key external contacts, including private clients, third party advisers, intermediaries and external asset managers.

Requirements

  • Key Skills and Technical Requirements
  • Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Some experience of working with AI systems (e. g. Chat GPT, Claude etc.) would be beneficial although not necessary.
  • Previous work experience in a Front Office environment in a Trainee Investment Manager position, ideally within Wealth Management, would be beneficial although not necessary.
  • Investment Diploma Advice (IAD) is advantageous, with a willingness to proactively work towards professional qualifications in line with internal requirements.
  • Undertakes sufficient professional development for the role including CPD (log to be maintained).

  • Keeps abreast of all relevant developments in the financial services industry and any regulatory changes which may affect the team.
  • Generates new ideas/initiatives to help promote firm to potential clients.
