What you'll be doing:
- Deliver comprehensive maintenance support across both electrical and mechanical disciplines, ensuring optimal equipment reliability and uptime for our key client
- Respond to reactive breakdowns with diagnostic expertise and execute planned preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime
- Carry out modifications, installations, repairs, and calibrations on electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation plant to optimise reliability and maintainability
- Complete all required documentation and reports accurately and on time, liaising with contractors and external suppliers as needed to meet agreed KPIs
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and compliance, proactively identifying and reporting any deficiencies in systems or equipment that could impact service delivery, health, safety, or the environment
What we're looking for:
- Experienced multi-skilled engineer with mechanical bias and preferably steam plant experience
- 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualification and NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance (multi-discipline) or equivalent, plus City and Guilds Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of building statutory compliance and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), with commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with confident problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Clear verbal and written communication with a hands‑on, reliable approach and commitment to delivering work safely, diligently, and to the highest professional standard
