About the role
We are seeking an Senior Technician to join our Structural Engineering team in London.
You will lead the production and coordination of high-quality structural drawings and BIM models, while supporting Revit standards and mentoring junior technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of structural engineering drawings and BIM models using Revit and Auto CAD.
- Support the continued development and implementation of Revit standards and protocols across UK projects.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors and building services consultants to resolve design and documentation queries.
- Review and check technical drawings and deliverables to ensure compliance with company drafting standards.
- Delegate and coordinate work across technicians, junior technicians and trainees.
- Support and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and training.
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of drawing office standards and best practices.
- Contribute to project planning, resource management and delivery programmes.
- Maintain project drawing records and transmittals where required.
- Support a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture by ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Act as a senior technical resource within the team and support Project Leaders as required.
- What We Are Looking For
- HNC or HND qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in structural drafting and documentation.
- Minimum 3 years' experience using Revit, with strong BIM coordination skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and Auto CAD.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering drawings, detailing and construction documentation.
- Experience coordinating information with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior technicians.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
