Overview
Senior Manager, Channel Excellence – fixed term contract with an end date in October 2027.
Region: Western Europe.
The role focuses on driving strategy and execution in collaboration with commercial partners, leveraging data insight and strong relationship skills within an international brand context.
Responsibilities
- Core Responsibilities: Build meaningful category relationships with top regional e Commerce customers and work toward a long-term aligned 3-year category development vision.
- Collaborate with Market Group e Commerce CX leaders on the CX agenda for major Global Customers (e. g., Amazon).
- Turn shopper insight into action by developing bespoke customer category strategies to improve the shopper journey for local priority retail customers.
- Participate in top e Commerce customer processes (Preview, Ideal Customer Profile, Joint Business Plan) to ensure category strategy is reflected in customer plans and key initiatives are aligned.
- Support key customers with ongoing learning through experiments, audience knowledge, category learning, and bespoke shopper research.
- Drive regional expansion from new business opportunities identified by Channel Growth leadership and equip local CX & KAMs with insight and selling materials.
- Regional Category and Local BU Channel responsibilities: Act as a key member of the regional channel and global CX networks; surface regional CX needs in the CX global forum and share outputs with the CX regional team.
- Execute audience and category projects (Space, Taxonomy, Expansion) with channel partners across the region identified by Channel Growth leadership, then scale successful pilots.
- Develop and communicate a clear category deployment vision for channels regionally, implementing category drivers with retail partners and setting a standard for channel excellence.
- Support adoption of global category and audience processes, cascading them to the CX team for integration into customer planning.
- Lead the test-and-learn channel and category agenda regionally, fostering agile experimentation, learning, and scale across business units.
- Partner with global trade marketing to execute the CX audience testing roadmap and regional CX channel/category initiatives.
- Represent CX within the RCD team, connecting with other sub-teams on topics such as selling in, and disseminate insights from the global insights team to inform strategies and decision-making.
- Team and culture: Play a pivotal role in realizing strategic goals and driving channel and retail excellence across key local customers to enhance sustainable consumer sales impact.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in commercial roles with a channel and category focus and strong business performance.
- In-depth knowledge of the online retail and channel landscape in local markets for Amazon.
- Experience in a large international organization, ideally with regional or multi-market remit, with expertise in sales processes and customer execution.
- Strong commercial competence with the ability to form relationships and influence across levels of seniority.
- Effective collaboration skills with internal and external partners.
- Strategic, proactive, and pragmatic approach with strong analytical thinking to turn insights into actionable plans.
- Ability to work 3 days from the contracted office (2 days from home).
- Strong business proficiency in English and German (written and spoken).
