Summary
Harris Invictus Academy is seeking a Safeguarding Support Officer to play a vital role in our safeguarding team.

- Main Areas of Responsibility
- Maintaining accurate, highly confidential, and secure child protection files and chronologies.
- Administration of individual case reviews, maintaining safety plans, and managing school trip lists to flag pastoral concerns.
- Acting as a key administrative point of contact for external agencies like social services, the police and local authorities.
- Supporting the HR department by ensuring staff read and sign safeguarding policies, and assisting with the management of the Single Central Record (SCR).
- Scheduling, attending and taking minutes for complex multi‑agency meetings, child protection conferences and governor briefings.
Qualifications & Experience
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft 365 and specialised safeguarding or school information systems such as CPOMS.
- Absolute discretion, diplomacy and the ability to handle highly sensitive personal information securely.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for liaising with parents, children and external professionals.
- A secure understanding of statutory safeguarding legislation, including Keeping Children Safe in Education in the UK, is highly desirable.
