The role is to act as the nominated Property Manager for a number of mixed‑tenure shared spaces within a designated geographical patch, including undertaking property inspections, prioritising defects, ensuring timely actions, maintaining safety and operational effectiveness, and meeting statutory and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of properties within the designated patch and provide operational support and cover to other colleagues across the group portfolio.
  • Carry out a programme of property inspections to identify defects, prioritise action and ensure actions are undertaken within agreed timescales, removing hazards and ensuring installed equipment is safe and operational.
  • Undertake functional and operational safety checks to confirm installed equipment complies with risk and health and safety protocols.
  • Record inspection outcomes, assess hazards and determine appropriate actions and timescales to mitigate risks.
  • Take a proactive approach to repairs, reporting emergency repairs through the customer service centre and Compliance Management Teams; routine repairs to be recorded via the Total Mobile on‑site application and followed up accordingly.
  • Manage and track safety escalations, including out‑of‑service fire safety equipment, lifting equipment and items under the Goods Act 1977.

Qualifications

  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Experience as a Building Safety / Compliance Inspector or Property/Building Manager in a similar organisation.
  • Effective stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
  • Proficient in IT systems including MS Office and Outlook.
  • Evidence of accurately reviewing, collating and recording data for meaningful analysis.
