Role Overview
The Applied Innovation (AI) Engineering team is an elite machine learning group within the Chief Data Analytics Office (CDAO) Technology group of JPMorgan Chase.
The role focuses on designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining advanced AI products.
You will collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver trusted solutions that support JPMC businesses and drive innovation.
- Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product owners to deliver products to production.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for analytics, model evaluation, and training (including versioning, compliance, and validation).
- Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches.
- Provide feedback and propose improvements to architecture governance practices.
- Create secure and high‑quality production code; review and debug code written by others.
- Maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to support the business, its technical teams, and vendors.
- Architect and govern agentic AI‑enabled engineering workflows to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale.
- Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI‑assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve automation value at scale.
- Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Proven programming/scripting skills in multiple modern languages including Python, Golang, Type Script, and similar technologies in an AWS/cloud environment.
- Experience with GPT, LLM, RAG, Gen AI, Prompt Engineering related technologies.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Current experience with agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Solid understanding of software applications and technical processes within a related technical discipline (e. g., synchronous and non-synchronous APIs, concurrency).
- Ability to create complex and scalable coding solutions using appropriate software design frameworks.
