Role Summary and Impact
The Global Investment team sits at the heart of the agency, collaborating with various agency capabilities including trading, client leadership, commercial, digital, and new business on local, regional, and global levels. The primary function is to support investment and trading requirements across our global client portfolio, working closely with local market agency teams, global clients, and external 3rd parties. The team focuses on workstreams such as media value management, marketplace and inflation monitoring, auditor collaboration/management, digital process management, contractual awareness, new business pitches, innovation in developing media channels, and thought leadership.
This role will involve working across several key global clients within our group and will include areas such as:
- Trading Delivery: Track media value delivery according to the agreed methodology, ensuring clear understanding of trading commitments and measurement. Consolidate media value delivery across media channels, markets, and regions. Lead solution-focused approaches where needed and participate in discussions with auditors to resolve issues.
- Analysis: Handle large data sets, ensure data quality, spot anomalies, and ask questions to ensure accuracy and robustness of data.
- Media Knowledge: Develop global knowledge of markets, channels, metrics, methodologies, and trading metrics; share knowledge and support junior team members with learning.
- Market Intelligence: Develop insights on media price inflation, channel evolution, and landscape changes; keep the team and clients aware of potential impacts and future opportunities.
- People and Project Management: Manage and develop more junior team members, ensure timely delivery and high-quality outputs, and manage client and auditor deliverables. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a solutions-focused approach.
- Relationship Focus: Build collaborative relationships with local teams, internal colleagues, clients, and auditors; demonstrate thoughtful issue resolution.
- Team: Actively participate in the Investment team and contribute to a collaborative environment.
The success of the role will be measured against agreed KPIs discussed periodically throughout the year. Strong local market relationships are critical to the role.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have experience in a media buying/trading role, within a media auditor, a client business, or within an investment management agency team. Experience working with large data sets; strong maths, Excel, and attention to detail are essential. An interest in analysing data, understanding trends, and storytelling is important. Experience with advanced analytics and data visualization tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI; VBA/macro writing skills are a plus. Ability to develop and nurture relationships with a wide range of colleagues, both within internal global teams and with external parties. Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills; proactive and friendly approach. The role is within a global team, requiring collaboration across regions and stakeholders.
