We're recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our Global Financial Institutions (GFI) team and support our strategic relationships with GFI clients across Asset Management, coordinating with Regional Sales and Specialist Sales teams. This role expands distribution of L&G Asset Management products across public and private markets and across active and passive capabilities, working with regional Distribution teams and asset class specialists. It also supports Enterprise relationships across L&G Asset Management and the broader L&G Group.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinating relationships with GFIs across all markets in partnership with regional teams.
  • Facilitating growth of global AuM/ANNR/revenue with GFIs.
  • Building Global Action Plans for top-priority GFI clients, including organisational mapping, coverage plans, and ensuring information-sharing across teams.
  • Positioning L&G as a partner to top-priority GFIs with regional distribution teams, engaging gatekeepers and selection teams to increase the number of L&G products approved.
  • Working with global functional teams (product, investments, marketing, etc.) to define requirements for the GFI channel and client positioning/core sales messages, funneling insights from regional teams.
  • Assisting with coordination of C-suite/senior-level interactions and key client summits.

Who we're looking for:

  • Strong understanding of the wealth market and Global Financial Institutions, with ability to identify opportunities, navigate market dynamics, and build meaningful client relationships.
  • Established network across Global Financial Institutions with experience engaging key decision-makers and developing trusted, long-term partnerships.
  • Experience within asset management with broad understanding of investment solutions; exposure to Active Fixed Income, ETFs and Private Markets is advantageous.
  • Experience in asset management in a distribution or client-facing capacity, with ability to engage clients across geographies, market segments and investment strategies.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a passion for cross-team collaboration to deliver outstanding client outcomes; success supported by partnerships across Distribution, Product, Marketing and Investments.
  • A track record of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
