Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents and case files for criminal inquires.
- Conduct legal research and gather evidence to assist solicitors in building cases.
- Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Engage with clients to collect information and provide them with updates regarding their cases.
- Attend court hearings and inquiries, taking notes and providing support as needed.
- Stay informed about changes and developments in criminal law and relevant legal practices.
Requirements
- Law degree or equivalent legal qualifications.
- Police Station Accreditation is preferable or willingness to undertake it.
- Interest in human rights and working in legal aid is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience as a paralegal or in a related legal support role is preferred.
- Strong comprehension of criminal law.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple cases effectively.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
