We are a digital insurance provider seeking to enhance risk understanding through data and analytics.
This role focuses on building knowledge of evolving vehicle developments and how they inform vehicle risk selection and related terms.
Responsibilities
- Influence and innovate in vehicle-related decision making within the Vehicle Underwriting team.
- Draw insights from data, explore new ways to use data, and identify additional value to add.
- Collaborate with other areas of the department and company; share ideas up to executive level to drive meaningful changes.
- Explain numerical and statistical findings to stakeholders with appropriate detail; maintain accountability for analytical approaches.
- Contribute to understanding rapid changes in the vehicle industry and UK car parc to inform terms, excesses, and conditional acceptance rules.
Qualifications
- Interest in vehicles and a desire to build expertise within the Vehicle Underwriting team.
- Experience with analytical programming environments (e. g., Python, R, SQL) or similar toolkit for solving problems.
- Strong numerical and statistical capabilities with ability to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Willingness to take initiative and be accountable for approaches used.
