The International Directorate brings together the International Recruitment team, Global Partnerships Unit (responsible for Transnational Education) and the DMU Global team who lead on staff and student mobility.
We are seeking an ambitious, strategic and commercially focused Senior Recruitment Partnerships Manager to join the International Recruitment team, playing a leading role in delivering DMU's international recruitment ambitions and expanding our global partnerships portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced international Higher Education professional collaborating closely with colleagues within the International Directorate and with academic and professional service staff.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate and secure new partnership opportunities in priority international markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas partners, agents and other key stakeholders
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team within a large and complex organisation
- Work collaboratively across faculties and professional services to deliver recruitment objectives and support institutional priorities
- Monitor recruitment performance, produce management reports and manage budgets effectively
- Horizon scan international markets to identify emerging opportunities, challenges, risks and threats
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree or equivalent professional experience, with a postgraduate or professional qualification being advantageous
- Significant experience of international student recruitment and partnership development within UK Higher Education
- Experience of developing and implementing successful international recruitment strategies that deliver growth and support institutional objectives
- A strong track record of leading, motivating and developing teams to achieve ambitious recruitment and income targets
- An excellent understanding of the international higher education landscape and the factors influencing international student recruitment
- Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to identify emerging opportunities, assess risks and respond strategically to changing market conditions
- Excellent communication, networking and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally
- High levels of cultural awareness, diplomacy and political sensitivity, with the confidence to manage complex and sensitive issues effectively
