Sales Assistant – Seacroft, Leeds – Plumb Centre

Role Responsibilities

• Serve customers on the trade counter by identifying their requirements and providing product recommendations.
• Handle customer enquiries via phone and email efficiently, courteously, and with a can‑do attitude.
• Actively identify and pursue opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• Perform general warehouse duties, including picking and packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries, and ensuring high standards in the branch.
• Manually handle heavy items such as boilers, radiators, sinks, and toilets.

This is a full‑time, permanent role working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 5pm on a rota basis and one in three Saturday mornings, 8am to 12noon paid as overtime.

Requirements

• Merchant or industry experience is desirable but not essential; training can be provided.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to engage with customers.
• Previous experience in sales or customer service is advantageous.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow with the training we offer.
