Purpose of the Role

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving revenue growth through the acquisition of new SMB customers, development of existing customer relationships, and promotion of Samsung's market-leading B2B technology solutions.

Working within a collaborative sales environment, the BDM will play a key role in creating demand, identifying new business opportunities, enhancing customer engagement, and delivering exceptional commercial outcomes in partnership with the Business Development Executive team and wider Samsung stakeholders.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Business Development & Account Growth
  • Own the commercial performance of an assigned portfolio of customers, accounts and product opportunities, delivering sustainable revenue growth and profitability.
  • Develop and execute strategic account growth plans that identify opportunities to increase customer spend, product adoption and long-term value.
  • Identify, qualify and acquire new SMB customers through proactive business development activity, demand generation, networking and relationship development.
  • Influence key decision-makers and stakeholders, delivering tailored commercial solutions aligned to customer objectives.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast, ensuring effective opportunity management and delivery against business targets.
  • Customer Engagement
  • Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews to strengthen relationships, understand business priorities and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on Samsung’s products, services and wider ecosystem solutions, confidently demonstrating use cases and business benefits to customers.
  • Engage end users through Samsung events, enablement sessions and customer‑facing activities to increase awareness, adoption and commercial growth.
  • Represent Samsung Business Services Centre professionally at customer meetings, events and networking opportunities.

  • Lead account planning activities in partnership with the Business Development Executive team, creating a seamless and coordinated customer experience.
  • Work closely with Samsung category managers, divisional teams and internal stakeholders to develop and execute customer growth strategies.
  • Share customer, market and competitor insights to support wider business planning and commercial decision‑making.
  • Performance & Governance
  • Deliver against agreed sales targets, KPIs and business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, account plans and commercial forecasting.
  • Prepare and present customer reviews, pipeline updates and business performance reports to stakeholders.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Samsung’s product portfolio, ecosystem offerings and emerging technology trends to provide customers with informed recommendations.

  • Proven experience in a B2B sales, business development or account management role.
  • Strong sales background with a proven track record of acquiring and growing business customers.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, identify opportunities and drive commercial growth.
  • Self‑motivated and proactive, with the ability to generate opportunities from a variety of sources including sales leads, customer events, partnerships, existing relationships and Samsung’s existing business customer base.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to understand customer needs and deliver value‑led solutions.
  • Confident in presenting and demonstrating technology solutions, translating product features into relevant business benefits and customer outcomes.
  • Strong planning, pipeline management and forecasting capabilities.
  • Collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer locations as required.
