Position
We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Designer to join the fast-growing Digital team.
The Junior Designer will be an integral part of the central Digital team and will provide high-quality creative and design services for client accounts across a variety of sectors including healthcare, media, technology, manufacturing, sport, food & drink and financial services.
A Junior Designer is expected to be skilled in the development of a variety of different assets including, but not limited to, video editing, social media graphics, reports & Power Point design.
Embedded within the central Digital team, the Junior Designer will work closely with our Lead Designer, collaborating with Account Managers and the Client Services team to deliver high-quality projects.
The role requires a creative mindset and the ability to interpret and respond to briefs from clients across the Hanover Group.
They will also provide support for new business activity including innovative ideas, asset development and pitch support.
They will be a confident communicator, capable of managing multiple projects, interpreting client needs, and translating feedback into effective creative solutions.
The successful candidate will join a team of bright consultants who know their stuff and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo.
They will also be expected to work with teams across Hanover, receiving and supporting with briefs and clearly managing expectations and timescales with internal colleagues.
Requirements
- 0-2 years professional design experience
- Professional training, education or work experience
- Ability to demonstrate a high quality portfolio
- Video editing & motion graphic experience required
- Ability to work well under pressure, tight deadlines and to effectively manage their own time and delivery schedules.
- An excellent attention to detail, composition and colour / branding.
- Contributing to the development of creative and assets across the business including campaign materials, social media collateral, branding, toolkits and video.
- Demonstrate a 'social first' approach, demonstrating a thorough understanding of current social media and campaign trends.
- Strong design fundamentals across typography, layout, composition, colour, and hierarchy.
- Produce mock ups and presentation visuals for internal and external presentations and collateral.
- Proficiency in Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro) and other design tools.
- Ability to support client teams to communicate effectively on briefing, delivery and project management for clients design and asset needs.
