Role/Team overview

In Advertising Technology we're looking for a Test Analyst to get hands on with the latest changes and developments in the products that shape ad delivery across Sky; from Sky Go to Ad Smart, and all things in-between.

What you'll do

  • Design and execut e end-to-end tests for Ad Tech and media delivery solutions.
  • Work within a squad to clarify expected system behaviour by reviewing requirements and design documents for testability, and v alid ate integrations between applications, players, advertising platforms and third-party systems.
  • Investigate issues using logs, network traces and debugging tools, a nalysing ad requests, ad responses and tracking behaviour
  • Manag e defects through investigation, triage and resolution with Engineering teams.
  • Support release readiness, production validation and go-live activities, reviewing Definition of Done with the squad
  • Report on test execution, progress, and provide clear updates to Test Leads and stakeholders.
  • What you'll bring

Essential criteria

  • E STQ B Foundation certification
  • Proven e xperience creating, maintaining and executing test cases, test packs and defects , demonstrating complete coverage of business and technical requirements.
  • Evidence of strong test analysis skills using APIs, JSON/XML, logs, network traces and debugging tools such as Charles Proxy.
  • Experience testing across multiple platforms, including mobile, web, streaming and connected TV devices.
  • E xperience validating complex integrations between applications, with a track record of performing functional, integration, system, regression and end-to-end testing across platforms, third-party suppliers and backend services.
  • Experience using Jira and Zephyr or appropriate test management tools , and responsibility for multiple test workstreams in an Agile environment.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience testing OTT, streaming, video or media platforms.
  • Knowledge of Ad Tech ecosystems, including DAI, CSAI, SSAI, Programmatic Advertising and audience targeting.
  • Experience with advertising and measurement platforms such as Free Wheel, Ad Serve, DV360, TTD, Beeswax or similar.
  • Knowledge of video and advertising standards such as HLS, DASH, VAST, VMAP and SCTE.
  • Experience supporting production releases, launch readiness, production validation and operational support activities.
  • Experience using monitoring and log analysis tools such as Cloud Watch, Splunk, Kibana or similar.
  • Understanding of GDPR, consent management and privacy-focused advertising solutions.
  • Basic scripting, automation or test tooling experience (Python or equivalent).
