Role Overview
Sky Sports News are looking for a Reporter (London Based) who can break news, build trusted relationships across the game, and bring audiences closer to the stories that matter.
From interviews and press conferences to live broadcasts and exclusive digital content, you'll be at the heart of the action, delivering fast, accurate and compelling journalism across all Sky Sports News platforms.
What you'll do
- Attend news conferences, conduct interviews and report in both live and recorded environments, on location and in studio when required.
- Provide original stories, explainers and analysis for all Sky Sports platforms.
- Build and maintain contacts to deliver exclusive news and ensure we are able to advance and develop stories quickly.
- Establish and develop strong relationships with assigned football clubs.
- Collaborate with the Senior Football News Editor, Reporters, Newsdesk and Planning team against deadlines to deliver content for all platforms.
- Display a strong football knowledge (men's & women') and be comfortable with covering a wider range of sports and stories with authority.
- Travel outside of London when requested.
Essential Criteria
- Experience of delivering linear, digital and social content in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong live reporting, interview and writing skills.
- Detailed understanding of editorial standards and legal compliance, ensuring all content adheres to the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, with a focus on accuracy, balance and responsible journalism.
- Experience of building relationships with internal & external stakeholders.
- A strong work ethic, a willingness to work unsociable and flexible hours.
- Ability to work independently and display strong collaboration skills as part of a team.

This is an on-site role at the heart of a fast-paced, live sports news operation.
You'll work closely with presenters, producers, and pundits to deliver engaging content across television, digital, and social platforms.
Given the nature of live sports coverage, flexibility will be required, including some weekend and bank holiday working.
