Head Chef – Yarmouth

Salary: £36,000–£38,000 per annum. Working hours: 45 hrs per week. Contract: reliable hours or salaried, depending on location. Bonuses: performance related bonus. Privilege card discount and Marston's Rewards available.

Overview

We're looking for a Head Chef to lead our kitchen team, raise the bar in food and service, and be a key member of the pub management team. Your role will drive memorable experiences for our guests and support the growth of a motivated kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the kitchen team, ensuring food and hygiene standards are consistently met.
• Maintain the highest food quality and speed of service targets while ensuring the business remains safe.
• Maintain clear communication with the kitchen and wider pub team.
• Take pride in the meals produced by your team.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and create a vibrant kitchen environment.
• Participate in the pub’s overall management plan and support wider operational goals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as a Kitchen Manager or Head Chef, or a proven ability to step up from a Sous/Second Chef position.
• Strong knowledge and commitment to food hygiene and safety standards.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to train and retain a motivated team.
• Strong communication skills and a positive mindset.
