The role is based in Haverhill, United Kingdom and is an on-site position.
You will work within the Flavors Sensory department, carrying out sensory evaluation, sample preparation, panel preparation, laboratory record keeping, and daily sample tracking activities.
This role works closely with laboratory procedures, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), flavor retain systems, and sensory testing processes.
- Where You'll Make a Difference
- Prepare and manage multiple daily sensory panels to maintain laboratory workflow.
- Evaluate flavor samples against quality standards and customer requirements.
- Use the flavor retainer system for sensory evaluation preparation.
- Order retain samples from affiliate sites when required.
- Run daily lists and spreadsheets to track samples and on-time processing.
- Maintain laboratory records, sample information, and sensory documentation.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements during daily laboratory activities.
- Oversee external laboratory testing and related sample tracking.
- Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and site procedure standards.
- What Makes You the Right Fit
- Bachelor Degree in Food Technology, Food Science or related.
- Experience in a Food Technology, Food Science, Flavor, or related laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of sensory evaluation, flavor assessment, or laboratory testing processes.
- Good attention to detail when handling samples, records, and laboratory information.
- Good verbal skills for daily laboratory and panel-related activities.
- Experience using spreadsheets, sample lists, or laboratory tracking tools.
- Ability to follow laboratory procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Comfortable working in a busy laboratory environment with several daily tasks. Good organization and time management skills.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
