Salary: £49,161.05 per annum plus 15% annual bonus & Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (Occasional weekend work)

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver preventative maintenance programs, overhauls, and planned shutdowns while managing budgets and minimising downtime
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns using diagnostic expertise to identify root causes and implement effective solutions quickly
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance subcontractors, ensuring compliance with site procedures and quality requirements
  • Monitor and maintain strict adherence to health & safety legislation, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, audit trails, and equipment histories using CMMS, plus manage spares inventory and stock control

Qualifications:

  • Time-served engineer with completed apprenticeship and City & Guilds OR NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance (ideally mechanical bias)
  • Manufacturing/production background in medium to heavy engineering - processing plants, production facilities, or recycling operations
  • Hydraulics expertise - hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic systems and components
  • Mobile plant experience - working with conveyors, material handling systems, automated machinery, or production equipment
  • Multi-skilled capability (desirable) - background in both mechanical AND electrical engineering disciplines
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable) - occasional travel to other sites may be required
