Overview
Selecta is the largest provider of unattended self-serve coffee and convenience food in Europe, leading the way in vending solutions and specialist coffee services.
We are hiring a Service Operator to join our team and ensure a high level of customer service, providing full and hygienically clean machines prepared to deliver maximum sales across the operational base.
This is a mobile role visiting multiple client sites daily and restocking/cleaning either our coffee or vending machines, while being a friendly point of contact on site for clients during visits.
Responsibilities
- Visit multiple client sites daily, restock/clean vending and coffee machines, and ensure machines operate to company guidelines.
- Perform stock and cash controls across machines and company vans.
- Fix occasional faults on machines (e. g., cup jams, blocked mixing bowls) and report faults to the Service Desk.
- Report accidents, unfit foods and customer complaints to the Area Manager or the Service Desk on the same day the incident occurs.
- Provide training to new starters and team members requiring upskilling to ensure a high-quality service for customers.
- Maintain a high level of customer care in a courteous manner.
- Complete regular audits and quality checks on Retail Merchandisers' machines as instructed by the Area Retail Manager.
- Share necessary follow-up actions with the Retail Merchandiser and Area Manager.
- Report any machines below Automatic Vending Association hygiene standards to the Area Manager.
- Cover sites in a van or use public transport to access static sites as required.

- Ability to train new starters and perform audits and quality checks.
- Adherence to Health & Safety regulations; flexible and responsive to changes.
- High level of customer care and presentable appearance.
- Flexibility to work with the given shift patterns and travel requirements.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
