Job Overview
Freedom Leisure is looking for a Lifeguard to work across its leisure and cultural facilities.
The successful candidate will ensure safety, cleanliness, and friendly service within the pool area, providing assistance to members and visitors while upholding the authorities’ safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the pool region and identify potential dangers or incidents.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, providing first‑aid assistance and maintaining clear communication with the rescue team.
- Support customers, providing information about facility policies and ensuring a clean, welcoming environment.
- Enforce all safety rules and cooperate with managers to meet service standards.
- Assist other team members on the rota and adapt to changing team needs.
Qualifications
- Competent swimming ability and an NPLQ (or willingness to obtain it).
- Experience or strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with customers of all ages.
- Flexible schedule: 37 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.
- Team‑oriented, supportive of colleagues and management instructions.
- Passion for the leisure industry and a commitment to continuous improvement.
